Baby V is turning into quite the fashionista! She put this outfit together herself by combining a skirt for the top and her purple tutu and topping it off with her princess crown. All she needs is a big black bow and she would have a rad 1980's princess outfit!

One of my best friends invited us to a "princess" themed birthday party for her daughter and all of the kids got a chance to dress up as their favorite princess! My friend and her family went all out by dressing up; dad as the prince, mom as Snow White and her little girl as Cinderella. Mija went dressed up as Aurora from "Sleeping Beauty". We also got a chance to take some photos with some of my friends and the "Pitzer Crew". And while Ben could not make it to the party, he posed for a photo with his little princess after work making sure to hand her a golf club, too!

We celebrated Ben's 35th birthday and my dad's 61st birthday at my parent's place. We had a yummy white cake with strawberries and 3 fruit tarts! Ben got 35 "gold coins" from his mom and a 2 year 24 Hour Fitness gym membership with work-out clothes and my dad received some clothes, cologne and gift cards. Fun times!

Baby V is kind of like her mommy in that she not only has a strong curiosity for the world around her, she is very determined to figure things out. So, by the time she had observed mommy taking photos for many special occassions, she came to the realization that she had to try taking some photos of her own. The first time she grabbed hold of my digital camera was on the 9th of January when she lifted her hands to the gadget as I was taking her photo and said "Okay, lemme try!". When I handed her the camera and tried to help her to figure it out, she immediately said "Vivi do it!" and so I realized that this first lesson in photography was going to take some patience. When she finally stopped looking through the front of the camera with the power OFF, she started to get the hang of things. The first set of photos were taken at home right before breakfast. The second set were from Ben and my dad's birthday party and the last photo is a front view of me and my pregnancy belly. Needless to say, she may have her mommy, her grandma Lenore's and her grandpa Gonzalo's eye for shooting photos! ;)
