We took photos of Vivian on the antique rocking chair in front of the mirrored closet while she played with her Elmo and Ernie dolls. During the photo shoot, Graybar slipped into one of the shots...and by the end of the shoot, little Miss Vivi was ready for the real thing. So, we turned on her favorite show, Sesame Street, and she enjoyed the show while sitting on mommy's tummy!

For our 7 year wedding anniversary we decided to do something romantic and relaxing so we got the "Romantic Package" at the Paseo Hotel, and the next day we relaxed and got pampered at the Glen Ivy Resort. After a day of lounging at the pools, jacuzzi's, mud bath and the Grotto we went to Tutti Mangia in Claremont for a romantic dinner and wine sampling. We were so pooped at the end of the evening that we were in bed and asleep by 10 p.m.! We officially celebrate our 7 years today on May 2, 2010.

I participated in the Covina Rotary 5K Fun Run which was held to raise funds for the SHHS teacher mini-grants and for the surrounding schools. At the event, I ran into some of my students and students involved in the Interact Club; a Rotary based club for which I used to be the advisor. The run was held at one of the middle schools, so needless to say, the course was muddy and uneven so I received my worst time overall. Just as I was about to leave, one of the Rotarians started announcing the winners for each age category so I thought I would stay to cheer on the winners. As the announcer called out my age category, I was pleasantly surprised to hear her say "Third place: Susan Rowley". So, not only did I get a yummy pancake breakfast, snacks and a shirt from the race, I also went home with a 3rd place medal! Wahoo!!!

Vivian's First "TUTU" Dance Skirt

Grandpa John and Kathie gave Vivian her first "tutu" dance skirt today. As soon as Vivian laid her eyes on it she feel in love. Once she had the skirt on, she transformed into a little dance diva princess; prancing around and jumping and smiling. She was definitely hamming it up for us! She loved the skirt so much, that we almost were not able to get her pajamas on her!

Vivian had seen stickers before, but she had never payed much attention to them until today. She noticed the "Little Mermaid" stickers at Lenore's house and immediately became facinated with them so before we went walking she had me stick one sticker on her shirt and one on each hand. As we walked around the cul-de-sac she kept a close eye on the stickers and was very careful not to drop them. I thought it was cute how she fell in love with these little adhesive novelties because I used to love collecting stickers when I was a child!
