Christmas 2010

Christmas was celebrated at our house again with my parents, Lenore and our family. Ben had to work so as soon as he got home at 6:00 p.m. we had dinner and then opened the presents as we listened to Christmas songs. Some of the presents that mija loved were the tricycle that we bought for her, the drum set and pom poms from her grandparents and of course, the kitchen set from Lenore. As baby V would say when listening to the Christmas songs "Happy Birthday, Jesus!"

Mija's First Haircut!

We took mija to get her first haircut...ever! She had been due for a haircut for at least a year because her hair was just getting too difficult to comb; because of the curls, the hair would get all tangled and matted up. I joked with my family that she was starting to look like she had dreadlocks! We took her to a place called "Little Kuts" and it was like playground meets barber shop. Perfect for kids! We even got a lock of her hair and a "My First Haircut" certificate.

Tia Cuca and Prima Patti Come to Visit

Tia Cuca and her daughter come to visit for my Tio Chicho's funeral. We got together with my Tia Carmela and my Tio Cuco also and ate and watched the video of my Tia Lola's 50th Anniversary (as a nun) party.

A 3-sided view of my figure: from the front and back I don't look very pregnant until you see the side view! I still have co-workers who were not able to tell that I am expecting.

Eating Out at Casa Del Rey

Eating dinner at one of our favorite Mexican food joints. Viv had the quesadilla plate (she loved the rice the best), Ben had the wet carne asada burrito and I had the #1 cheese enchilada meal with a side of sour cream. Yummy!

Thanksgiving 2010

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Lenore's house this year and all who attended (the 2 Rowley familes, the Gandara family, the 2 Collins families, Allison's parents and Lenore) prepared a different part of the feast. As always, Will made the turkey, my parents brought the appetizers which were taquitos with guacamole and chips and salsa, Allison brought 3 kinds of stuffing, Lisa made the veggies, Bits made the sweet potatoes, Lenore prepared the pies, Dave baked the crescent rolls and we mashed the potatoes!
